Privacy Policy - bejeranos
This policy covers personal family web apps operated by Nir Bejerano that link to this page and use the shared Google app identity. It currently covers:
- Travel map: https://travel.bejeranos.com
- Task board pilot: https://instinct-tasks.pages.dev
If another family app links to this policy, or if a current app asks for a new kind of data or permission, this page will be updated before that app or feature is used.
Google sign-in
When you sign in with Google, Google returns an email address and basic profile information for the requested sign-in scopes. The apps use the verified email address to identify authorized users and maintain a signed-in session.
The travel map requests basic Google sign-in information. The task board also requests Google Tasks permission and offline access for the sync described below.
Travel map
The travel map publicly shows city names, countries, whether Nir or Einav visited each city, and wishlist destinations. It stores city records, authorized editor email addresses, and editor roles.
The map loads code and map resources from jsDelivr and VersaTiles, and city searches are sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim search service. When the map loads or a city search is used, your browser connects to those services and they receive ordinary technical request information. Map data is attributed to OpenStreetMap, VersaTiles, Natural Earth, and ESA WorldCover.
A signed session cookie keeps an authorized editor signed in for up to 30 days.
Task board pilot
The task board is currently private to Nir only. Family access and family notifications are not active.
The board stores task information entered in the app, which may include task titles, notes, group, priority, due dates and times, recurrence settings, reminder choices, assignee and origin labels, checklist items, attachment links and labels, completion status, creator or owner information, timestamps, Google task identifiers, records used to match, synchronize, and resolve changes, deletion records, and reminder state.
The board may store owner-only review copies of selected existing task-board items. These copies stay only in the app, are not sent to Google Tasks, and do not create reminders.
The board asks for Google Tasks permission and offline access. Google's Tasks permission is broad. The current board uses it for the connected pilot Google Tasks list. The board can read, create, update, complete, and delete tasks in that connected list, and changes made in Google Tasks can be copied back to the board.
The current sync covers task title, notes, due date, completion status, and checklist item title and completion status. Other task-board fields, such as exact reminder times, recurrence settings, origin labels, attachment links, and reminder state, remain stored by the app.
Google authorization tokens are stored for the signed-in Google account so scheduled sync can continue when the user is not actively signed in. Refresh tokens are encrypted before storage.
A signed session cookie keeps Nir signed in for up to 30 days.
How information is used
The apps use the information above to:
- Sign in the authorized user
- Show and edit the travel map
- Show, edit, and synchronize task-board items
- Prepare and deliver due-task reminders through Nir's configured reminder channel
- Keep each app working as expected
Family access and family notifications are not active. This policy will be updated before either is enabled.
Sharing
The apps do not sell personal information or use Google user data for advertising.
Information is processed by the service providers needed to run the apps, including Google, Cloudflare, and Instinct for reminder delivery. The travel map also uses the map providers listed above. Travel-map content is intentionally public. Task-board content is currently restricted to Nir.
Retention and deletion
App data is kept while the app is in use. Deleting a synchronized task in the task board can delete the corresponding item in the connected Google Tasks list, and a deletion in Google Tasks can be synchronized back to the board.
Signing out clears the app's local session cookie. Revoking access in your Google Account stops future Google access, but does not by itself delete records stored by the app. To request deletion of those records, contact the address below.
Security
The apps restrict sign-in to authorized Google accounts. The task board is currently limited to Nir's account. App data is stored using Cloudflare services.
Google user data is used only for the sign-in, task-synchronization, and reminder features described in this policy. Use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when an app changes, a family app is added, or a new Google permission is requested. The latest version will be posted at this URL with an updated date.
